One on One Coaching Experience

My one on one coaching partner/ co-teacher Mrs. H (pseudonym) and I decided to focus on the area of behavior.  Knight (2007) included behavior in his Big Four, these are areas that teachers can focus on for success in the classroom.  As a part of my role, as the instructional coach in this instance, I made use of Reinke (2005) on task, off task behavior monitoring chart.  Below is a graph that provides some background into why we chose the area of behavior for our focus.  B Elementary (pseudonym) has historically been a school plagued with behavior issues, therefore, this was a great area for our focus in order to help address this issue and make a turnaround for our school
